After Losing 50 Pounds, She Wanted Photos That Captured How She Felt

Sometimes a boudoir session isn't about trying to find confidence you've lost.

Sometimes you already feel it.

And you want to capture it.

That's exactly what brought Lisa in for her Houston boudoir shoot.

She had recently lost around 50 pounds and was feeling confident and attractive in her body. She wanted photographs that captured that feeling, both for herself and as a Christmas gift for her husband.

And yes...we'll get to his reaction.

Celebrating a Moment She Wanted to Remember

Losing 50 pounds was part of Lisa's story.

But what I love about her reason for booking wasn't simply the number on the scale.

It was how she felt.

Lisa told me:

“As someone who had recently lost around 50lbs, it was important to me that my husband could see and feel how confident and attractive I felt in the pictures.”

She wasn't coming into the studio asking me to turn her into somebody else.

She wanted to capture the woman she already saw in herself.

Confident.

Attractive.

Sexy.

And sometimes that's exactly what a boudoir session gets to be.

A celebration of a moment in your life that you don't want to forget.

Feeling Comfortable During Her Houston Boudoir Shoot

Even when you're excited about your session, stepping in front of a camera wearing lingerie can feel a little intimidating.

You don't have to walk in knowing what you're doing.

Lisa didn't have to figure it out on her own either.

She said:

“Francesca made me feel immediately comfortable and relaxed. She guided me through the process, and I felt very sexy during the shoot.”

That's a huge part of what I want women to experience inside my Houston boudoir studio.

You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't need experience in front of a camera.

I'll guide you through the process so you can stop worrying about what you're supposed to be doing and actually enjoy it.

When the Photos Become a Christmas Gift

Lisa's session wasn't only a celebration for herself.

She had plans for those photos.

Christmas plans.

She decided to give her boudoir images to her husband as a gift.

And his reaction?

In Lisa's words:

“Let's just say he was absolutely thrilled with the results!”

I'd say the gift was a success.

Boudoir photos can make an incredible gift for your partner because they're personal in a way that something bought from a store simply can't be.

But I think Lisa's story is also a beautiful example of something else.

The photos may have ultimately been given to her husband, but she got to experience the session.

She got to feel sexy.

She got to feel comfortable in front of the camera.

She got photographs that captured how confident and attractive she felt during that chapter of her life.

He got a pretty fantastic Christmas gift.

She got the experience that created it.

You Don't Have to Lose Weight Before a Boudoir Session

I want to make an important distinction here.

Lisa's 50-pound weight loss was part of her reason for celebrating.

It does not have to be yours.

You don't need to lose 50 pounds before booking.

You don't need to lose 20.

You don't need to lose five.

Your reason for wanting a boudoir shoot in Houston gets to be completely your own.

Maybe you've reached a personal goal you're incredibly proud of.

Maybe it's your birthday.

Maybe you're getting married.

Maybe your body has changed in a way you want to document.

Maybe you want an unforgettable gift for your partner.

Or maybe absolutely nothing has happened.

You simply want to do it.

That's reason enough.

What Do You Want to Remember About Yourself Right Now?

That's the question I'd rather you ask yourself.

Not:

Is my body ready?

But:

Is there something about the woman I am right now that I want to remember?

Lisa wanted photographs that captured how confident and attractive she felt.

And that's exactly what we created.

“Thank you so much, Francesca, for making me feel beautiful and capturing it in such a wonderful way!”

Lisa, it was my absolute pleasure.

And to her husband: Merry Christmas.

Ready for Your Own Houston Boudoir Shoot?

Whatever your reason is, it doesn't need anyone else's approval.

If there's a version of yourself you're ready to celebrate, I'd love to photograph her.
